The clutch is an external unit and has nothing to do with the refrigerant.

AC PULLEY/CLUTCH FOR 2007 MURANO
I wanted to replace the AC pulley due to a worn bearing, but Nissan doesn't sell it on it's own, so I bought this kit. Every part in the kit is very high quality, packaged very well, and shipping via Fedex was reasonably fast to Canada. Everything was a perfect fit, no issues whatsoever. I would highly recommend this kit as an alternative to having to replace a perfectly good AC compressor just to get a new pulley and clutch.
